For event organisers

Give the whole event some shape before you enquire.

Put the practical details and the feel of your event into one private Brief. Compare venues with the reasons shown, keep your shortlist to yourself, then choose who hears from you.

A live event reaching its confetti-filled finale

Built around your decisions

Less repetition. More context. No surprise handovers.

An account with a purpose

Your verified account keeps Briefs, matches, shortlists and venue responses together. It also stops someone else submitting an enquiry in your name.

Reasons beside every match

See which details line up, such as county, capacity, occasion, budget and style. A higher score helps comparison, but it is not a promise of availability or suitability.

A genuinely private shortlist

Saving a venue tells nobody. Your name, email, notes and Brief stay in your workspace until you deliberately choose an appropriate next step.

One place to track progress

Return to the Brief you submitted and see venue activity without reconstructing the search from old emails, tabs and handwritten notes.

What goes in a Brief

Enough detail to compare venues properly.

A verified email is required before you create a Brief. That small step protects the actions attached to your name and gives you a workspace you can return to.

  • Event type — wedding, conference, private party, corporate event, celebration or something else
  • Preferred South West county
  • Optional preferred date and whether it is exact, flexible by a few days, any date that month, or not chosen yet
  • Guest count
  • Approximate budget range
  • Style preferences — elegant, modern, outdoor, relaxed, luxury and more
  • Supplier needs — catering, floristry, photography, AV, styling, staffing
  • Anything else in your own words

These details help rank possible fits. They do not check live availability, replace a viewing or remove the need to confirm details with the venue.

When a venue catches your eye

The next action depends on who manages the listing.

Verified venue

Send your Brief when you mean to

You can add an optional message and submit the Brief. Only then does the venue receive your Brief and the name and email on your account. Its status can move through submitted, accepted, declined and completed.

Unclaimed listing

Ask Event Orchard to consider an approach

The venue cannot receive your Brief. You can send a private request to Event Orchard instead. If we make a neutral approach, it contains no information about you or your event.

After a verified venue marks an event completed, you can leave one public one-to-five apple review linked to that completed event.
