About these terms

These terms apply when you use eventorchard.co.uk or the application at app.eventorchard.co.uk. Event Orchard is operated by Radford Development Services, trading as Event Orchard, from Somerset, United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

What Event Orchard does

Event Orchard helps organisers describe an event, compare venue matches, keep a private shortlist and send an Event Brief to verified venues they choose. It also lets venue representatives claim and manage listings and helps venues record useful supplier relationships.

Matches are suggestions based on the information available to us. They are not a guarantee that a venue is available, suitable, affordable or willing to accept an event.

Bookings, payments and agreements

Event Orchard does not currently take bookings or payments, show live availability or form part of a contract between an organiser, venue or supplier. Any quotation, deposit, booking or event contract is agreed directly between the people involved.

You are responsible for checking the details that matter to you, including pricing, availability, accessibility, licences, insurance, cancellation terms and the identity of anyone you contract with.

Accounts

You need an account for private Event Briefs and other trusted actions. Give accurate information, keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account. Event Orchard is intended for adults; you must be at least 18 to create an account.

Event Briefs and messages

You control which verified venues receive your Brief. Do not include sensitive information that a venue does not need. Information you submit must be accurate to the best of your knowledge and must not be unlawful, abusive, misleading or infringe another person’s rights.

Venue listings

Unclaimed listings use factual information from public business sources and are labelled clearly. Public information can become outdated, so it should be checked directly with the venue before relying on it.

To claim a listing, you must genuinely represent the venue and provide truthful evidence when asked. Verified representatives are responsible for keeping their profile, packages and contact information accurate. A venue can request a correction or removal at any time.

Reviews

Reviews must describe a genuine completed event and reflect the reviewer’s honest experience. Reviews must not contain threats, discrimination, private information, advertising or claims the reviewer knows are false. We may remove or restrict content that breaks these rules, while recognising that a fair negative review is not itself misuse.

Acceptable use

Do not use Event Orchard to:

  • impersonate another person or falsely claim a business;
  • send spam, harvest contact details or misuse enquiry routes;
  • scrape or copy the service at scale without written permission;
  • upload malicious code or interfere with security or availability;
  • break the law or encourage someone else to do so.

Intellectual property

Event Orchard’s name, branding, software, design and original editorial content belong to its operator or licensors. You retain ownership of content you submit. You give us a non-exclusive licence to store, process and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the service. Private Event Briefs remain subject to the sharing choices described in our privacy policy.

Availability and responsibility

We work to keep Event Orchard useful, secure and accurate, but the service is provided without a promise that it will always be available or error-free. We are not responsible for contracts between users, the conduct of venues or organisers, or losses caused by relying on outdated or incorrect third-party information.

Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility where the law does not allow it to be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Suspending or closing access

We may restrict or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, threatens the service or puts other users at risk. Where it is reasonable and safe to do so, we will explain why. You may ask us to close your own account by contacting us.

Changes

Event Orchard will evolve. We may update the service or these terms and will publish the revised date here. If a change materially affects registered users, we will take reasonable steps to draw attention to it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you the right to use the courts where you live.
